Many therapies & coaching techniques focus primarily on talking about (or problem solving for) experiences.

Experiential modalities create opportunities to have new experiences in the present moment.

Rather than simply understanding patterns, we explore them as they emerge—in emotions, relationships, the body, imagination, and awareness—creating opportunities for new learning and lasting change.

Somatic practices are founded on the belief that the body (through sensation, movement, and awareness), holds an inherent wisdom. By cultivating a sense of safety within our bodies, somatics can provide another channel for transformation & healing . As a somatically-oriented practitioner, I believe that one of the most empowering paths to resilience is to incorporate and even allow our wise body to lead the way. Somatic approaches help turn down the intellectual mind so that there is space for the felt sense of experience to emerge. The more we connect with our bodies, the more familiarity, trust, and safely is built — and overtime, coming into our bodies can feel like coming home.

Guided Experiential Coaching can be helpful for working on, or through, a specific issue. It is different than therapy as this service does not address a mental health symptom or diagnosis. I do not diagnose or treat any mental health disorders when facilitating somatic sessions.

On the other hand, therapy offers an opportunity to address the causes and effects of mental health struggles with the expressed purpose of healing & improving current symptoms. Diagnosis and /or treatment of mental health disorders can be included in this process.

All sessions are typically 50-55 minutes and are conducted weekly. 90 minutes sessions are available as well.

Intensives or bi-weekly sessions are available based on a combination of availability and an assessment of the effectiveness of that frequency for an individual’s needs.

Unless your insurance reimbursement limits the number of sessions/cost, therapy generally does not have a set time frame of completion. Success/referral/ending of treatment is assessed based on open communication between client and therapist.

Therapy intensives are usually fixed timeframes and depend on the modality.

Somatic sessions can be implemented with a more fixed timeframe. Prior to starting, we can discuss and agree upon a specific number of sessions or parties can agree to remain open to continued assessment of your progress and further needs.

Once we’ve connected, you will receive an email providing a link to my practice’s portal. Follow the prompts in setting up your account; you will be asked to read and sign practice policies, informed consent, and update your HIPAA compliant account with your pertinent information.

This email will also contain a reminder of your appointment time and my office address and/or link to your virtual session.

Yes, I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. In-office sessions are available in Northeast Los Angeles. Walking sessions in the surrounding area are available depending on availability/scheduling. Online therapy sessions are available for those living in California, Virginia, and Florida*.

Online fitness training & somatic sessions are available to all.

I deeply value this work and honor the skill & capacity needed to create a safe and nourishing space for my clients. For this reason, I do not take on very many clients in order to maintain the integrity of our work together.

I will remember the names of your loved ones. I will want to see pictures of your baby or fur-baby. I will be genuinely curious to bear witness to all you have to express.

I am considered “out of network” with insurance companies, which means that all services are paid out of pocket.

You can also contact your insurance company directly to access information regarding your mental health benefits. If your health insurance agrees to reimburse you for your sessions, you will pay for services directly and I will provide you with a monthly Superbill that you can submit for reimbursement.
